Five of Five: THE ONE!!!!!(sorry, it's loooooong)
Wednesday morning I woke up around 5:40 am with a little back pain and was a little uncomfortable. I went to the bathroom and then tried to go back to sleep. I had a contraction that was much more intense than normal so I started to pay attention. I had four contractions between 6:09 and 6:35. They were pretty intense but were randomly spaced. Koby's alarm for work went off and I debated on whether or not to tell him. I really didn't want to get either of our hopes up. I had a few more contractions and then thought I better tell Koby. I told him about the contractions and then around 7 he started timing them. He got up and showered and ready. By this time my contractions were closer together and lasting a minute. I had a little bloody show, so I was pretty positive that I was in labor. I straightened my hair and got ready for the day. Standing up made my contractions shorter but closer together. Koby had called my mom and then he started getting the rest of the hospital bag stuff together. Emi woke up and Koby got her dressed and tried to feed her some breakfast. We left our house about 9:15ish. It was hard to leave Emi. I knew she would be ok, but then she started crying when we got into the car. One of the hardest parts of having a second baby was wondering how it would effect Emi. On our way there I tried to stay focused and relax. It is SO hard to relax when having a contraction in the car. I felt EVERY SINGLE BUMP. By the time we got to the hospital the contractions were less than 2 minutes apart and so intense. I couldn't even walk into the hospital. Koby got a wheelchair and walked as fast as his long legs could take us. Koby had asked his dad to meet us at the hospital to help give me a blessing. I got in the gown and then went to lay in the bed to be checked and monitored. The nurse checked me and said I was to a 7 and 90% effaced. The other nurse said "and you are positive about that?" She said yes and they called the Dr. Now there are two things you may need a reminder of: 1-my Dr. was on vacation. 2-I had Group B Strep or GBS. As soon as I was laying in the bed they hooked the antibiotics to me for the GBS. Koby and his dad gave me a blessing and shortly after the Dr. came. The Dr. got there around 10:15 am and checked me. I was to a 10 and fully effaced. I was so relieved when she said that because I kept having the urge to push. Koby was setting up the video camera and I started pushing. All of the sudden I heard a popping sound and then my water flew out like I threw a water balloon. It got all over the Dr., like even her face! Koby rejoined me and I started pushing again. I was feeling like I physically could not have this baby. I was feeling so out of control. I had to regroup and get my focus back. I took some deep breaths and asked my Heavenly Father for help and strength. I started to push again and about 5 minutes later my little baby girl was laying on my chest! Holding her I just felt like crying. I was so happy to have her with me and to be holding her, but also felt so much better that the pain was over. Our little baby spent a day and a half without a name. It was so hard to decide. This is a name that she will be stuck with for the rest of her life! Koby told me about a month ago that he wanted me to have the final say for her name. We decided on a name and then Koby was going back and forth. Finally I said "Her name is Reese Nyellie, alright." Koby looked at me a little shocked. If you know me well you know that I am not great at making decisions. So me just saying it like there was no arguing with me must have been really shocking for him;) Anyway, Reese was 7 lbs 13 oz 21 in long and born about 30 minutes after I got to my room, so at 10:29 am. Reese is just a name that was kind of randomly added to our list and Nyellie is the name of one of the little girls that I knew and loved in Ecuador. She looked SO much like our little Emi did, but now has a look of her own. Emi was very unsure about the hospital setting and wouldn't go to me and didn't really care about seeing Reese much. We bought Emi and Reese the same outfit for the day that we brought Reese home. When we got home and showed Emi that they were matching she LOVED it. Emi has loved Reese every since we brought her home. She gives her kisses and rubs her soft hair and wants Reese to do everything that she does. It is so sweet and makes me feel so much better. So my number one goal this time was to keep my hospital gown on during delivery. Luckily for me and everyone else I didn't even have time to get it off, even if I felt the need to:) We love our little Reese so much and can't get enough of her!! Ok, here's some of my favorite pictures. There's so many but I'm sure you won't mind;)

Four of Five and Coloring Eggs!
I had my second to last appointment before my due date yesterday. Nothing has changed. I'm still a 1+ and about 30% effaced. This week was not comfortable but was definitely not as bad as last weeks! My mood swing was swinging on the positive, happy "She'll come when she comes" side rather than the sad, negative "why isn't she here yet?" side. Oh, I found out that my Dr. will be gone on vacation until my next appointment. I'm not too worried, but it definitely puts a twist on things. She is pretty sure that I'll still be pregnant when she gets back. Koby took me to lunch afterwards. It was nice to not feel rushed or worry about anything. I went and picked Emi up from my moms and did a little shopping. It's not easy going to stores practically nine months pregnant with a 22 month old. Half the stores weren't stores with carts so she got to walk because it was hurting to carry her. She was pretty good to stay close and yet not so good:) After shopping we went to Koby's parent's house to color eggs. Koby's grandparents have a huge egg hunt so we get together every year and color a dozen eggs per grandchild (we only do our family's not ALL the cousins). Emi had fun being with her cousins and eating the skittles that Grandpa got her. She does this cheesy little smile when I want to take her picture, but at least she smiles:)

Three of Five
Koby's sister watched Emi for us this morning so that we could both be there at the Dr. appointment. I felt like crying after I dropped Emi off. I thought I was over that but it's most likely because of all the pregnancy hormones or something. We had to wait over an hour for the Dr. and it didn't help my nerves at all. I don't know why I was so nervous. She checked me and man did she check. It hurt SO bad this time. At least she told me that I was a 1+ dilated and 30% effaced. I was pretty sure she was trying to get my labor started. The last few days I've had tons of back pain and some contractions. Hopefully things will start moving along on their own.
I put Emi down for her nap yesterday and then went to my room to finish putting the sheets back on the bed. I could hear Emi talking and then it was quiet for a minute. She was jabbering again then I could have sworn I heard a knock but not from downstairs. I stepped into the hall and heard the knock again. Knock, knock "Mom!? Mommy!? Mom!!" What the? Emi had gotten out of her bed and was knocking on her bedroom door. I felt torn but knew that if I went in her room this one time she would end up out of bed more and more. I left her. When I went to get her after she slept for a short amount of time, the only thing she played with was the door stopper. Oh, and she was still right by the door :) Gotta love that little girl!

Two of Five and Random Stuff
Well, I had my Dr. appointment today. Sadly there is no change. Man it hurt getting checked today. I just felt so sad and depressed afterwards. Dang these pregnancy mood swings! Koby could tell that I was sad and took me to get a treat for being good;) We went and got a Jamba Juice. I felt a little better but not much. I had a small cry as I drove myself home and I think that helped a little bit. I left Emi with my friend that lives in our neighborhood which was probably the best thing I could have done for myself today. When I came to pick her up they were at the park with a bunch of people from our ward. It really helped to not have to go straight home and sulk by myself. Emi was pretty good today which was nice. I think it is my back pain and lack of sleep, or poor sleep I should say. Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better and am looking forward to tomorrow with a happy attitude:) On Tuesday my friend invited Emi and I to go to Jungle Jim's with her. I went to Jungle Jim's as a kid and let me tell you something, it has changed very little since I was there last! AJ came with us and helped take Emi on the rides. Emi LOVED the Carousel and the swings. Towards the end she just wanted to go back and forth between them, riding over and over. My friend had her nice camera and got some cute pics but all I have are the very few that I took with my small not as nice camera.

One of Five
Well I had my first of my last five appointments last week. I swear the night before was like waiting for Christmas morning. Don't ask my why I was so excited. I basically have every thing ready and am now just waiting out the last month doing the routine things around the house. Nothing exciting is coming up or going on around here. It might just drive me insane! So my check up went well. My Dr told me that with Emi at this point I was a 1+ dilated and 50% effaced. With Baby Girl I'm less than 1 and about 25% effaced. So basically nothing is going on:) She also told me that Baby Girl's head is down and that I should expect to go to my due date. For most people that would be disappointing to hear, but for me it was the best thing to hear. I have no false hope. I have been telling myself that I was going to go to my due date the whole time, but there is always that little voice in the back of my head saying "I think she'll come about a week early". I really just don't know what to do with myself. I have lists and projects and things to keep me busy but nothing to really look forward to, ya know? Anyway, sorry I still haven't posted pictures of Emi's big girl room. I'll try really hard to get on that:) Oh, I forgot. My Dr's office just called and told me the results of my Group B Strep test-I have it. Darn it:( But that does not change anything. I'm still hoping to deliver this little girl as successfully as I did with Emi using the Hypnobirthing method. Has anyone out there had that? Let me know what it's like, Please:)

She's a Big Girl Now!
We have a lot of changes coming our way. First of which, Emi's new room. Emi got a new bed (new to her at least), new dresser, and bookshelf. Ok so all of it was just repainted and made hers. The only thing that is brand new is her bedding. She has been so excited throughout the whole process of painting and everything that I hoped she'd transition ok. Well, she's slept in her bed every night and every nap starting three Saturdays ago. She is getting to be such a big girl. I love seeing all the "big girl"ness that she does. She still doesn't talk much but finds her own ways to communicate with us. She makes tons of animal sounds and can identify them in her animal book. She says very few words, such as: Daddy, mom, ish for fish, cheese, and shoes. She clucks her tongue for milk or pickles. She says "Go, go, go" when we watch "The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That". She says some other things but it's hard to think of them when she isn't around. She does the actions to "Wheels on the Bus". She can point out all of her family members (cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents) when I ask where they are in pictures. She LOVES playing with friends/cousins and cries when they have to leave (when they leave our house). She hardly ever leaves the house without her purse on her arm. She loves to pick out her clothes but HATES getting her hair done. Emi LOVES to dance. Her cousin Paislee gave her a chipmunk CD and she loves it. She always wants to put her tutu on and dance to it. I've tried to record it, but she never dances the same when the camera is on.
Emi has no idea what is going to hit her in less than five weeks. As excited as I am to have this baby, I am SO scared to see how this change will affect Emi. I can see her being a really good helper or I can see her being a really big brat and not liking the baby at all. She has been "helping" me get the stuff ready for the baby. She found the bottles and has now adopted one as her own. She hasn't had a bottle since she was 6 months old. She even wants to nap with it. As we were sorting through the clothes she held a newborn romper up to herself, I can't believe she use to fit into it! I think this is the first time that I'm sad she is growing up, mostly just because I feel like I'm MAKING her grow up. Ok so maybe it's me that doesn't know what is going to hit me in less than five weeks!! :) I have my first of my last five appointments this Friday. Yay for us! I'll keep you up dated! Sorry no pics. I'll post some asap.

Day of LOVE!
Koby left Sunday around noon for a business trip. He didn't get back until Tuesday afternoon. Monday Emi and I had a fun day with M'liss, Kate, and Spence who all slept over with us Sunday night. M'liss took Kate and Emi's pictures for Valentine's day. They turned out SO cute!! I'm not sure that I have one that is a favorite, maybe a few that are favorites:) For Valentine's day Koby got us Lady Antebellum tickets. We also gave Koby's mom a ticket for her birthday, so Koby's parents came with us. It was a way fun concert!!! The only thing I would change is being pregnant:) It was on the warm side, I was having contractions, and sitting in general right now is just not very comfortable. Emi and I were so excited to see Koby that it made the day that much more exciting and full of love for us!! It was a fun day! Enjoy the pictures:)
