Our Christmas

We had all of our usual Christmas parties, a long with a few birthday parties. Our first party was Koby's work party. He won a Barbacoa (sp?) gift card oh yeah and an ipad!!! I still can't believe he won it, not that he's not lucky or anything. It was pretty awesome, but how do you follow up an ipad? It probably made Christmas a little less exciting for him. Anyway, Koby's parents took all of us to a breakfast with Santa. Let me just say this to anyone that doesn't know Emi real well, she doesn't do well around men-not even her grandpas or uncles.

After breakfast they called up each table to sit on Santa's lap. I decided that we might as well act like Santa is a good guy and just set her on his lap. She FREAKED! So I sat with her and got our picture taken. LOL! My face is bright red and she is screaming! We all had fun anyway:)

We were able to help celebrate Kate's birthday in Logan and then make it back in time for the Bawden Christmas party that night. The Friday before Christmas we got to celebrate Landon's birthday. The next day, being Christmas Eve, was not such a good day at our house. Well, I wasn't feeling so hot. My stomach hurt so bad. I took two bites of my cereal and had to lay down. Later, an hour or two before we had to leave I threw-up the toast so lovingly made for me by Koby. I felt a little bit better and then we got to Koby's parent's house and I started not feeling so good. Koby's sister Jen took really good care of me and everyone was really nice to let me take over the couch til I felt well enough to sit up. After sending off our red balloons for Jesus' birthday or to someone in Heaven that we love, we went inside and opened up our gifts.

After gifts we headed around the corner and down the street to my parent's house. I still was not feeling good so I watched while everyone else "acted" out the Nativity. We opened presents and watched the kids play for a bit. Soon after we got home I threw-up again.

Christmas day turned out to be a lot better than Christmas Eve. We came down and opened our Jesus presents (a present that is church oriented) and then headed into the kitchen to make breakfast. We got Emi a little table and chairs and had it set up in there. She loved and was grining ear to ear!

While breakfast was cooking Emi got to see what Santa brought her. She got a little indoor slide and a couch.

She absolutely loved them! She got puffs in her stocking which she ate like candy (they lasted about 2 days), some color wonder markers and paper, and some other things. Koby and I gave her clothes, big legos, boots, and a babydoll stroller. She was so cute with her doll in the stroller, but then she thought it was her turn to ride:) We were so blessed this Christmas and are so thankful that we were able to see all of our grandparents and almost all of our families at this special time of year! We are so grateful for the greatest gift that our Heavenly Father has given us in the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ.
