September!

I forgot to write about our newest nephew! Koby's sister had a baby boy, Nixon Blake, on August 16th. He and Reese are pretty much the same size (even though they are only four months apart) and are the closest in age of the cousins. Over Labor Day weekend we went up to Koby's Grandparent's cabin. We hadn't gone all summer so it was fun to finally get to go. We went up Friday night and stayed until Monday. Saturday we had a Lott family reunion in Logan. My aunt was up from Arizona so we were lucky enough to all get together. It had been a while since we'd all been together. M'liss took the pictures with her tripod and got some good ones. After lunch and hanging around for a little while we headed back up to the cabin. We had a really fun weekend playing games, swimming, and riding the wave runners.

The next weekend we headed back up to Logan for the Aggies vs. Utes game. Koby got tickets through his work. Emi and I wore our Aggie gear and Koby and Reese wore Ute gear. Even though the game didn't turn out the way Koby had expected we still had a fun time together. We got enough tickets for M'liss, Tim, Jare, my dad, Koby's parents, and Chad to all sit by us! Emi and Kate had fun eating chips and salsa and cheering for the Aggies. Reese, surprisingly fell to sleep on grandma's lap! The next day my grandma watched the kids while we went to the farmer's market. We found some cute jewelry and had fun being out without the kids:)

I took the girls to the zoo one day with our friends. Emi had an absolute BLAST!!! Reese was her perfect little self and stayed in the stroller most of the time. The zoo has changed a lot since I went last and it's under construction in parts of it, so we didn't get to see everything. We still had lost of fun!

August

We didn't do very much in August. The beginning of August AJ stayed at our house while my mom and Ali went to girls' camp. AJ was a great helper and we had lots of fun together. We went to the skate park so he could ride his scooter while Emi played on the equipment.

We had a Bawden family reunion in Park City. Koby's dad put Koby's sister and I in charge of games. We decided to do the Bawden Olympics. Everything turned out so fun and everyone seemed to have a good time. Reese got to swim for the first time. She loved it! At the talent show part of the reunion Emi saw Ruby go up so she thought she wanted to try, until she got up there. At least she went up, right? :) At the end of the month I had the girls' retreat with my mom and sisters. We had tons of fun shopping and watching chick flicks! Reese got to go this year because she is nursing. We also had Stansbury Days. We thought Emi would love the bounce houses, but she was too scared to get in and try. We are so lucky to live in such a great community! We LOVE where we live!!

~JULY~ Part 2

A few days after we got home from vacation was the Days of '47 parade. It's Bawden tradition to sleep out. Lucky for me Koby's boss has a condo downtown. Sleeping out would not be fun with little ones. Koby ended up sleep at the condo with us this year because his back was still hurting a little bit. Emi had a blast staying out late and singing the traditional "Party Pooper" song with her grandpa and cousins.

On the 25th my parents had my little sister and brother sealed to them. It was such an awesome experience. It was a long time in coming, and it felt so right. I'm so thankful for the gospel and the opportunity that we have to be made forever families. The Spirit testified to me that this was the right thing for Ali and AJ, and I know they will be eternally blessed. It was so fun to have all my siblings together in the the sealing room and to have one big eternal family hug after:)

The next day I took the girls to the pool. Emi fell asleep on the way:) Later we went to my parent's house for Spence's birthday party!

Still Catching Up! ~JULY~ Part 1

July felt jam packed with things. We went on walks to feed the ducks. We even got to see some babies one time!! Two of my very best friends (and roommates in college) came back to Utah for a visit in July and we were lucky enough to get together. So much has changed in our lives but it's so fun to get together.

We went up to Bear Lake for Koby's work retreat. I didn't get any pictures of it, but we had tons of fun (except for the fact that Koby threw his back out for the second time this summer). We got to eat authentic Korean food and I tried sushi for the first time. We had one day to re-pack and head up to Pineview for our Bawden family vacation. We did a stay-cation this year and it was a BLAST!!! Seriously it was so fun! Everyone seemed to get along so well and we got to do things around Utah that Koby and I probably wouldn't do (mostly Lagoon and Cherry Hill). We arrived Saturday afternoon and got all settled in. Sunday we went to church and the park.

Monday was a lake day. We had fun all day until right before we were about to get off the lake. It was Koby and his dad with all the women and children (not all the women and children but a lot of us). A huge storm came up and we had to get the boat and wave runners off the lake. Aubree, Leta (Koby's 16 year old niece), and I rode the wave-runners to the ramp. Everyone else rode in the boat. Surprisingly I wasn't worried about my girls, I was worried about Koby's mom. She hadn't gotten in the boat all day because of a past experience in a boat and was now forced to in scary situation. Ridding the wave runner was CRAZY!! The waves were crashing over me constantly and I could hardly see. As soon as I got to the shore I rushed to see if I could help get the kids and moms off the boat and onto dry ground. Wind was blowing like crazy and the waves were huge!! Luckily no one was hurt physically, maybe emotionally;)

Tuesday we went to Cherry Hill. I have never been there and Koby hadn't been since he was young. I thought it was really fun and Emi LOVED the kiddie pool:) They have a small slide that she could go down all by herself. We had a really fun time there. I wouldn't mind going again some day.

Wednesday was another lake day. I took the girls back early for nap time and ended up cleaning the condo instead. I should say straightening not cleaning.

Thursday we went to Lagoon. Koby and I love rides! It must be genetic because Emi loves them as well!! It was such a fun day and the girls did awesome!! Even though Emi looks unhappy in most of the pictures, she is just saying, "cheese" and that is how she looks when she says it:)

Friday was another lake day. We went to the Oaks for dinner that night. It was a nice place right by the river. Koby and I commented many times how well all the kids had done. There wasn't a single breakdown for any of them (not just our kids but all the nieces and nephews). In the end it was ME that had the breakdown. Waiting for over an hour to be seated just isn't worth it to me, especially not after a day at the lake. Saturday Emi and Koby went swimming for a little bit and then we headed home. It was such a fun trip!! The best thing that happened was that Emi now loves her grandpa and shows him:) (She's been afraid of him for a long time, probably most of her life. We aren't sure why. It's actually been all men except for Koby)
