June So Soon?!

June started out crazy and the rest of the summer has kept us spinning!! June we blessed Reese on the 10th and celebrated Emi's 2nd birthday after the blessing luncheon. The week before Koby threw-out his back so needless to say I was more than a little stressed. Everything turned out the way I wanted though. We are so greatly blessed with our family and friends, what an awesome support system we have! Our friend Becky took some pictures of our sweet little Reese in her blessing dress, which turned out so cute! Thanks Becky:) We had an ice cream party for Emi for her 2nd birthday party because she LOVES her ice cream:) M'liss painted an ice cream sundae on a poster for "pin the cherry on the sundae". It looked so good! Thanks M'liss! Emi had a blast with all her friends and cousins. It's so strange to be a mom of a 2 year old! I guess it's because I still feel like I'm 18 or something-ha ha!

The 13th of June we went up to Koby's boss' cabin up in Bear Lake. My family came for a half week vacation. It is such a beautiful cabin and we had such a great time. We played all day everyday and then put the kids to bed and played games into the night:) It made for some very tired parents the next day, but we had fun. The last night we tried to have a nice Father's day dinner but the guys were out playing too long so they had a cold Father's day dinner:) The next day we headed home. I saw candy bar bouquets on Pinterest, so I decided to make some for Koby and our dads for Father's day. We got Koby a new Utah hat, golf shirts, exercise shirts, and a Utah Utes shirt for Emi (I only got this because Emi has an Aggie shirt). We then met his family at Copperton park and had a Father's day picnic dinner. We all went in and got Koby's dad some chairs to sit on while we visit in his backyard.

Thursday the 21st we met Koby's family and went on rides at the West Fest. Emi had an absolute BLAST!! I took her on tilt-a-whirl, which looking back was a horrible idea, but at the time seemed like fun. Rhonda, Koby's mom loves the tilt-a-whirl, so she came with us. It was the only ride Emi cried on and I actually felt a little scared for a minute or two, not for myself but for Emi. It had no seat belts!

A few months before Reese was born I emailed my family to see if they wanted to do a race or two with me. Mostly I did it for selfish reasons, but also for something for our family to do together. We decided to do the West Fest 5k for our starter race because it was a cheaper one, it was a central location, and my parents live in West Valley so why not support the community?:) We all did it! The men all came in before the women but that's ok. It was so fun because every member of our family was either running or riding in a stroller!! The only person that placed was Tim. He came in 2nd in his age division! Go Timmy!!! Later that night we went out to my grandparents and had a BBQ and a baby shower for my cousin's wife. They live in Arkansas and were visiting for a little bit. It was so good to see them!!

Sunday the 24th we celebrated our 4th Anniversary!! To me this is a big accomplishment. Not that I think 4 years is SO long but because there are so many people getting a divorced now days, a year would be an accomplishment. I feel like Koby is always doing nice cute things for my birthday and stuff that I wanted to make this a fun anniversary for him. I found a cute idea on Pinterest and made it happen, mostly. Ha ha. I gave him a passport and a travel itinerary. I had nights planned and babysitters for those nights, but Emi got sick. We went to most of the destinations but we have some places we still need to "travel" to. It was really fun! I felt like we really got to spend time with just the two of us. Unfortunately no pictures even though I made sure to bring the camera. I'm lame I know:(
Koby has made me so happy! He is so  patient and kind and helps me to be the person I want to be. He always treats me so well and wants me to be happy. Watching him play with our girls makes my heart just melt!! I really would be lost in this world with out him by my side. I love him SO much!!

Oh, My! It's May!

In May we celebrated my little sister Ali's 12th birthday and my mom's 50th. It is crazy to me that Ali is 12!! I can still remember when she first came to our house! The thursday or friday before Mother's day Koby had to work in Logan so the girls and I joined him. My grandparents weren't able to come meet Reese for health reasons so we brought her up to them. We had a Mother's day linner (between lunch and dinner) the Saturday before Mother's day with my family. It was very nice and yummy! After dinner we went to the tabernacle to watch Ali and AJ sing with their choir. The next day Koby and the girls spoiled me:) I got a picture frame with pictures of Reese and I and a spot to put her hand and foot print. The year before I got one from Emi. I got a running watch and sandals. Koby made me pork chops on the grill (our new favorite thing to grill:)). After we ate we went out to see Koby's mom out in Bluffdale. May went by so fast! I had to look and see what pictures I had from may to remember what else happened:). The girls and I went to feed the ducks a few times. I would carry Reese in the front pack and push Emi in the stroller. It was always nice to get out of the house and Emi always had a blast with the ducks! Both times a few of the ducks would come on the bridge to get a private feeding of dry bread:) Oh, we got a double jogging stroller/bike trailer in May! We've already used it lots and LOVE it!! We had to get separate seat for Reese because she can't sit up yet, so that's why it's a picture of Emi and her doll:) I don't have pictures of everything but here's what I do have:
