The 13th of June we went up to Koby's boss' cabin up in Bear Lake. My family came for a half week vacation. It is such a beautiful cabin and we had such a great time. We played all day everyday and then put the kids to bed and played games into the night:) It made for some very tired parents the next day, but we had fun. The last night we tried to have a nice Father's day dinner but the guys were out playing too long so they had a cold Father's day dinner:) The next day we headed home. I saw candy bar bouquets on Pinterest, so I decided to make some for Koby and our dads for Father's day. We got Koby a new Utah hat, golf shirts, exercise shirts, and a Utah Utes shirt for Emi (I only got this because Emi has an Aggie shirt). We then met his family at Copperton park and had a Father's day picnic dinner. We all went in and got Koby's dad some chairs to sit on while we visit in his backyard.
Thursday the 21st we met Koby's family and went on rides at the West Fest. Emi had an absolute BLAST!! I took her on tilt-a-whirl, which looking back was a horrible idea, but at the time seemed like fun. Rhonda, Koby's mom loves the tilt-a-whirl, so she came with us. It was the only ride Emi cried on and I actually felt a little scared for a minute or two, not for myself but for Emi. It had no seat belts!
A few months before Reese was born I emailed my family to see if they wanted to do a race or two with me. Mostly I did it for selfish reasons, but also for something for our family to do together. We decided to do the West Fest 5k for our starter race because it was a cheaper one, it was a central location, and my parents live in West Valley so why not support the community?:) We all did it! The men all came in before the women but that's ok. It was so fun because every member of our family was either running or riding in a stroller!! The only person that placed was Tim. He came in 2nd in his age division! Go Timmy!!! Later that night we went out to my grandparents and had a BBQ and a baby shower for my cousin's wife. They live in Arkansas and were visiting for a little bit. It was so good to see them!!
Sunday the 24th we celebrated our 4th Anniversary!! To me this is a big accomplishment. Not that I think 4 years is SO long but because there are so many people getting a divorced now days, a year would be an accomplishment. I feel like Koby is always doing nice cute things for my birthday and stuff that I wanted to make this a fun anniversary for him. I found a cute idea on Pinterest and made it happen, mostly. Ha ha. I gave him a passport and a travel itinerary. I had nights planned and babysitters for those nights, but Emi got sick. We went to most of the destinations but we have some places we still need to "travel" to. It was really fun! I felt like we really got to spend time with just the two of us. Unfortunately no pictures even though I made sure to bring the camera. I'm lame I know:(
Koby has made me so happy! He is so patient and kind and helps me to be the person I want to be. He always treats me so well and wants me to be happy. Watching him play with our girls makes my heart just melt!! I really would be lost in this world with out him by my side. I love him SO much!!
