Koby's sister watched Emi for us this morning so that we could both be there at the Dr. appointment. I felt like crying after I dropped Emi off. I thought I was over that but it's most likely because of all the pregnancy hormones or something. We had to wait over an hour for the Dr. and it didn't help my nerves at all. I don't know why I was so nervous. She checked me and man did she check. It hurt SO bad this time. At least she told me that I was a 1+ dilated and 30% effaced. I was pretty sure she was trying to get my labor started. The last few days I've had tons of back pain and some contractions. Hopefully things will start moving along on their own.
I put Emi down for her nap yesterday and then went to my room to finish putting the sheets back on the bed. I could hear Emi talking and then it was quiet for a minute. She was jabbering again then I could have sworn I heard a knock but not from downstairs. I stepped into the hall and heard the knock again. Knock, knock "Mom!? Mommy!? Mom!!" What the? Emi had gotten out of her bed and was knocking on her bedroom door. I felt torn but knew that if I went in her room this one time she would end up out of bed more and more. I left her. When I went to get her after she slept for a short amount of time, the only thing she played with was the door stopper. Oh, and she was still right by the door :) Gotta love that little girl!

Two of Five and Random Stuff
Well, I had my Dr. appointment today. Sadly there is no change. Man it hurt getting checked today. I just felt so sad and depressed afterwards. Dang these pregnancy mood swings! Koby could tell that I was sad and took me to get a treat for being good;) We went and got a Jamba Juice. I felt a little better but not much. I had a small cry as I drove myself home and I think that helped a little bit. I left Emi with my friend that lives in our neighborhood which was probably the best thing I could have done for myself today. When I came to pick her up they were at the park with a bunch of people from our ward. It really helped to not have to go straight home and sulk by myself. Emi was pretty good today which was nice. I think it is my back pain and lack of sleep, or poor sleep I should say. Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better and am looking forward to tomorrow with a happy attitude:) On Tuesday my friend invited Emi and I to go to Jungle Jim's with her. I went to Jungle Jim's as a kid and let me tell you something, it has changed very little since I was there last! AJ came with us and helped take Emi on the rides. Emi LOVED the Carousel and the swings. Towards the end she just wanted to go back and forth between them, riding over and over. My friend had her nice camera and got some cute pics but all I have are the very few that I took with my small not as nice camera.

One of Five
Well I had my first of my last five appointments last week. I swear the night before was like waiting for Christmas morning. Don't ask my why I was so excited. I basically have every thing ready and am now just waiting out the last month doing the routine things around the house. Nothing exciting is coming up or going on around here. It might just drive me insane! So my check up went well. My Dr told me that with Emi at this point I was a 1+ dilated and 50% effaced. With Baby Girl I'm less than 1 and about 25% effaced. So basically nothing is going on:) She also told me that Baby Girl's head is down and that I should expect to go to my due date. For most people that would be disappointing to hear, but for me it was the best thing to hear. I have no false hope. I have been telling myself that I was going to go to my due date the whole time, but there is always that little voice in the back of my head saying "I think she'll come about a week early". I really just don't know what to do with myself. I have lists and projects and things to keep me busy but nothing to really look forward to, ya know? Anyway, sorry I still haven't posted pictures of Emi's big girl room. I'll try really hard to get on that:) Oh, I forgot. My Dr's office just called and told me the results of my Group B Strep test-I have it. Darn it:( But that does not change anything. I'm still hoping to deliver this little girl as successfully as I did with Emi using the Hypnobirthing method. Has anyone out there had that? Let me know what it's like, Please:)

She's a Big Girl Now!
We have a lot of changes coming our way. First of which, Emi's new room. Emi got a new bed (new to her at least), new dresser, and bookshelf. Ok so all of it was just repainted and made hers. The only thing that is brand new is her bedding. She has been so excited throughout the whole process of painting and everything that I hoped she'd transition ok. Well, she's slept in her bed every night and every nap starting three Saturdays ago. She is getting to be such a big girl. I love seeing all the "big girl"ness that she does. She still doesn't talk much but finds her own ways to communicate with us. She makes tons of animal sounds and can identify them in her animal book. She says very few words, such as: Daddy, mom, ish for fish, cheese, and shoes. She clucks her tongue for milk or pickles. She says "Go, go, go" when we watch "The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That". She says some other things but it's hard to think of them when she isn't around. She does the actions to "Wheels on the Bus". She can point out all of her family members (cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents) when I ask where they are in pictures. She LOVES playing with friends/cousins and cries when they have to leave (when they leave our house). She hardly ever leaves the house without her purse on her arm. She loves to pick out her clothes but HATES getting her hair done. Emi LOVES to dance. Her cousin Paislee gave her a chipmunk CD and she loves it. She always wants to put her tutu on and dance to it. I've tried to record it, but she never dances the same when the camera is on.
Emi has no idea what is going to hit her in less than five weeks. As excited as I am to have this baby, I am SO scared to see how this change will affect Emi. I can see her being a really good helper or I can see her being a really big brat and not liking the baby at all. She has been "helping" me get the stuff ready for the baby. She found the bottles and has now adopted one as her own. She hasn't had a bottle since she was 6 months old. She even wants to nap with it. As we were sorting through the clothes she held a newborn romper up to herself, I can't believe she use to fit into it! I think this is the first time that I'm sad she is growing up, mostly just because I feel like I'm MAKING her grow up. Ok so maybe it's me that doesn't know what is going to hit me in less than five weeks!! :) I have my first of my last five appointments this Friday. Yay for us! I'll keep you up dated! Sorry no pics. I'll post some asap.

Day of LOVE!
Koby left Sunday around noon for a business trip. He didn't get back until Tuesday afternoon. Monday Emi and I had a fun day with M'liss, Kate, and Spence who all slept over with us Sunday night. M'liss took Kate and Emi's pictures for Valentine's day. They turned out SO cute!! I'm not sure that I have one that is a favorite, maybe a few that are favorites:) For Valentine's day Koby got us Lady Antebellum tickets. We also gave Koby's mom a ticket for her birthday, so Koby's parents came with us. It was a way fun concert!!! The only thing I would change is being pregnant:) It was on the warm side, I was having contractions, and sitting in general right now is just not very comfortable. Emi and I were so excited to see Koby that it made the day that much more exciting and full of love for us!! It was a fun day! Enjoy the pictures:)

This is the house that WE built...
Ok, ok we did not build our house, but you know when you make something or build something and you just feel so dang proud? That is how Koby and I are feeling (I'm pretty sure Koby is feeling this way anyway:)) after one of our weekend projects. See if you can spot the difference in these photos.

Can you see it? Our counter tops were horrible. White with fork marks and some chips and SO easy to stain. I did not like them from the moment we moved in. Koby was looking around at stuff and found a counter top kit. You sand, wash, paint, spray, sprinkle, let dry (12 hours), scrape, sand, vacuum, paint, let dry (48 hours), and you are done! It was a lot more hard labor than Koby had anticipated, but we love the results! Don't worry I didn't make him do all the work, but I definitely didn't do the amount he did. Koby also replaced all the door knobs and light fixtures in our house from gold to brushed nickel. It looks so nice!! We had enough of the counter top stuff leftover so we did our upstairs small bathroom counter top as well.

Oh, and this is what Emi looks like when she chooses what she wears! LOL!! She even posed herself:)

This is what I look like 6 months or 27 weeks pregnant! I know I look so big, at least I feel like I look so big!! Not my favorite pic of myself but it will have to do:)

Our Christmas
We had all of our usual Christmas parties, a long with a few birthday parties. Our first party was Koby's work party. He won a Barbacoa (sp?) gift card oh yeah and an ipad!!! I still can't believe he won it, not that he's not lucky or anything. It was pretty awesome, but how do you follow up an ipad? It probably made Christmas a little less exciting for him. Anyway, Koby's parents took all of us to a breakfast with Santa. Let me just say this to anyone that doesn't know Emi real well, she doesn't do well around men-not even her grandpas or uncles.

After breakfast they called up each table to sit on Santa's lap. I decided that we might as well act like Santa is a good guy and just set her on his lap. She FREAKED! So I sat with her and got our picture taken. LOL! My face is bright red and she is screaming! We all had fun anyway:)

We were able to help celebrate Kate's birthday in Logan and then make it back in time for the Bawden Christmas party that night. The Friday before Christmas we got to celebrate Landon's birthday. The next day, being Christmas Eve, was not such a good day at our house. Well, I wasn't feeling so hot. My stomach hurt so bad. I took two bites of my cereal and had to lay down. Later, an hour or two before we had to leave I threw-up the toast so lovingly made for me by Koby. I felt a little bit better and then we got to Koby's parent's house and I started not feeling so good. Koby's sister Jen took really good care of me and everyone was really nice to let me take over the couch til I felt well enough to sit up. After sending off our red balloons for Jesus' birthday or to someone in Heaven that we love, we went inside and opened up our gifts.

After gifts we headed around the corner and down the street to my parent's house. I still was not feeling good so I watched while everyone else "acted" out the Nativity. We opened presents and watched the kids play for a bit. Soon after we got home I threw-up again.

Christmas day turned out to be a lot better than Christmas Eve. We came down and opened our Jesus presents (a present that is church oriented) and then headed into the kitchen to make breakfast. We got Emi a little table and chairs and had it set up in there. She loved and was grining ear to ear!

While breakfast was cooking Emi got to see what Santa brought her. She got a little indoor slide and a couch.

She absolutely loved them! She got puffs in her stocking which she ate like candy (they lasted about 2 days), some color wonder markers and paper, and some other things. Koby and I gave her clothes, big legos, boots, and a babydoll stroller. She was so cute with her doll in the stroller, but then she thought it was her turn to ride:) We were so blessed this Christmas and are so thankful that we were able to see all of our grandparents and almost all of our families at this special time of year! We are so grateful for the greatest gift that our Heavenly Father has given us in the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ.
